Travelling with the iCandy Cerium – our first family holiday

Lifestyle

How to travel with a 6 month old. The answer, the iCandy Cerium travel bag!

Last month we were lucky enough to go on our first holiday as a family. Not only was this our first holiday since Covid, this was our first time abroad with our 6 month old baby girl, Margot.

Travelling without a baby can be stressful enough so I knew we needed to be extra prepared. I wanted to make sure her time away was as relaxing and comfortable as possible. There are two main things that are involved in her day, sleep and trips out in her icandy pushchair. And knowing that these two things keep our little one happy and content they were top of my packing list.

Our first family holiday

I set to instagram to ask for peoples advice on taking a pushchair abroad. Some suggested buying a cheap pushchair that could essentially get trashed on the plane and dumped when we got home. This seemed like such a waste of money and a really unsustainable option. I received recommendations for lightweight, good quality pushchairs that could go on the plane with us as hand luggage, but this meant spending a lot more money than we ideally wanted to. Then someone suggested taking the iCandy in a pushchair travel bag. The idea hadn’t even crossed my mind. I honestly didn’t think taking our iCandy away with us would be possible but one swift click on to the iCandy website and there it was. The iCandy Universal Travel Bag (in black – WOOHOO!). It promised to get our iCandy Cerium to our destination safe and securely in a durable zip up bag, and that’s exactly what it did.

Time to check in

Our first time back in an airport in exactly 2 years was really enjoyable, even with the new Covid restrictions and all of the extra paperwork involved. With Margot happy and content in her trusty Cerium we had one less thing to worry about. The Travel Bag fit perfectly in the basket under her seat and when it came to boarding the plane we simply folded down the pushchair and packed it away. It really was that easy. Remove the seat and the two back wheels, fold down the frame and pop them in the bag (BOTH wheels…don’t do what I did and leave one of the wheels in the lounge at Nice airport… EPIC FAIL!). The travel bag has a handle and wheels so you can roll it to the plane where we left it to be stowed away in the hold.

Sightseeing with the iCandy Cerium

On the other side, our pushchair came out with the rest of our luggage, we unzipped and unloaded the travel bag and Margot was back in her happy place ready to start her first ever holiday in the South of France. We took the Cerium everywhere with us. Out for dinner by the harbour, the roll up and dine feature was perfect for this and when she started to get tired we simply popped the hood and reclined the seat so she could get some z’s while we enjoyed the view with a glass of Rosé. The Screen was perfect for the days we went out exploring in the sun. And no matter where we were we were always able to find a spot in the shade whilst feeding alfresco with the Universal Parasol.

All in all, the best decision we made was taking the iCandy cerium pushchair with us on our first family holiday ? thanks to their travel bag we were able to pop the cerium on the plane and enjoy exploring the South of France with our little lady.

Thank you iCandy for making our first holiday with Margot so much more relaxing and stress free ??
